About us

Wheatley Wanderers Junior Football Club was founded in 2004, the first team being formed from a group of ten children of differing ages. The club has now evolved and has teams of different age groups playing in the Doncaster and Junior Sunday Football League.

We have teams from under 7's all the way through to to under 16's. The teams start by playing 5-a-side, at under 7 and under 8's age groups, progress to 7-a-side at under 9's and under 10's. At under 11's the teams start playing 9-a-side eventually moving onwards from the under 14's to 11-a-side.

Each of our teams have regular training and matches led by our fully qualified coaches. So if are you interested in joining one of the teams then please send an email or give us call. Contact details can be found on the committee page.

We are delighted that we offer a special training hour for all those budding footballers. So if your aged 5 and above then why not come down on a Saturday morning at 9am and take part. Again give us call or email if your interested in joining the programme.

As a club we take child welfare/protection very seriously and therefore all our coaches and officials are CRB police checked. The club has an objective that all coaches are qualified to at least level 1 of the FA Coaching course and are qualified first aiders.

With the continued fundamental support of all the parents the club is now well established and will continue to grow from strength to strength.

The club encourages fair play and respect for all others in the game.
